Nine teams have completed the first four weeks of the Junior Achievement Guam Company Program activities. All nine teams have elected their officers consisting of a President, Vice President of Finance, VP Marketing and VP Production. Company Program sponsors include ASC Trust, Bank of Guam, Bank of Hawaii, Calvo’s Select Care, Community First FCU, Energetic Presence, IP&E and Triple J Enterprise. Student members have gone through a four week long informative process of learning how to start-up a company. In the coming weeks, they will be brainstorming on products that represent their company, how to market their product, the production and sales of their product as well as the financial aspect of the organization.
This year marks the second year JA Guam has incorporated an in-school program. The schools include defending champion Simon Sanchez High School, Southern High School and newly implemented programs at John F. Kennedy and Tiyan High School. Each company is supported by volunteer mentors who provide real-time advise for our members.
