JA Asia Pacific President on Guam as Keynote speaker for Your future Unleashed

Vivian Lau, JA Asia Pacific President, arrived Guam on Tuesday morning ahead of her speaking engagement at the Hyatt Regency Guam and met with local officials while helping promote the event in support of JA Guam.   Ms. Lau met with the Board members of JA Guam to discuss future activities as well as provide insights on the ongoing development of JA Asia Pacific and JA Worldwide curriculum.  Thereafter, she presented the group with a certificate of appreciation for 40 years service on Guam.  She visited one of JA Guam’s after school programs at the Bank of Guam where students were treated to a slew of information to get them jumpstarted on their brainstorming session.

Along with members of the JA Guam board she met with the Governor of Guam on Wednesday morning and discussed an array of topics from yesteryears and beyond.  Joining Lau in the meet and greet were the Governor’s Chief of Staff Mark Calvo, JAGuam Chairperson Meg Tyquiengco, JAGuam Executive Director Beth Lizama and JAGuam Board Members Joey Miranda III and Atty. Andrew Perez.  She was then joined by JAGuam Board members Amier Younis, Kris Lujan, Sharon Davis and Lee Venzel during the Rotary Club meeting were Younis serves as the President and spoke to the assembly about JA activities.

Your Future Unleashed is a professional development symposium scheduled for October 12, 2017.  This project is spearheaded by Tyquiengco with support from the members of the JAGuam Board and is presented by Guam Economic Development Authority, Core Tech, Bank of Guam, Bank of Hawaii, United, Ada’s Trust and Investment Inc., GTA and Xerox.  The event is still accepting applications on Event Brite as well as at the door.
