JA Guam is excited to announce that FULLFILL was awarded the Entrepreneur’s Choice Award!
This event is JA Asia Pacific’s annual celebration of the achievements of young entrepreneurs in the region. The Program and Competition helps young people understand the role of business in the global economy by allowing students to organize and operate an actual business enterprise, and market and sell a product in the real world.
This year marks the 8th JA AP COY, 22 student companies participated in the regional competition, the largest JA AP COY event by far. The student companies represented 14 locations including: Brunei, China, Guam, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Turkmenistan, and Vietnam. In addition to student companies participating the event from the Asia Pacific region, student companies from JA Denmark and JA Gabon also joined as exhibiting student companies to enhance cross-border experience for all participants.
During the four-day competition in Bejing, student companies were evaluated by a panel of judges comprised of entrepreneurs, academics and representatives from the local business community. Meg Tyquiengco, JA Guam Board Chairperson, shared “We are proud of both Paluma and Fullfill. They represented Guam well. Through the JA AP COY, students are able to gain key insights into the world of entrepreneurship; as well as making connections with other young entrepreneurs within the region. This is one of the best experiences a young person can have in order to be successful in today’s global economy. We greatly appreciate all of the community and our sponsors for all the support we receive. Especially from the GEDA and United.”
