Junior Achievement (JA) Guam held their first VIRTUAL Kick Off over the weekend. Over 100 students from the following schools have registered to join this year’s high school program.
Pinki Lujan, Executive Director, states: “Considering all the challenges that teachers, students and businesses are facing, this year’s program is forecasted to be a success with 117 students from JFK, GW, Tiyan High (led by GCC Marketing Program), Guahan Academy Charter School, St. Johns, Southern High, AOLG, Harvest Christian Academy, Father Duenas Memorial High School, Okkodo, Notre Dame, as well as students who are Home Schooled have signed up to participate in this 13-week program.
We would like to acknowledge the businesses who have stepped up to the plate to support and mentor these high schoolers: Bank of Guam, Bank of Hawaii, Creative Indeed, Docomo Pacific, GTA, KUAM, Title Guaranty and Community First FCU!
Students will attend weekly virtual sessions with their sponsor teams and will be provided with the opportunity to learn how to create a business, market and eventually liquidate their company.
