JA Guam 2022 Company of the Year virtual competition set for February 5

Friday, January 28, 2022 – Hagatna, Guam

JA Guam 2022 Company of the Year competition will be hosted virtually on Saturday, February 5, 2022, beginning at 10:00 a.m.  The event will feature eight companies that have been mentored by local business entities since September 2021.

According to JA Guam Board Chairman Joey Miranda III, “the event will be hosted online for the second consecutive year to ensure the safety of our students, mentors, and stakeholders, especially during the ongoing surge our island is experiencing.  Our board was quite pleased to see the turnout we had with our in-person event as we were able to bring our students together during the Crazy Bowl at the Central Lanes Bowling Center and Trade Fair at the Guam Premier Outlet.  However, we believe with the spike in numbers, our best option was to host the event virtually.”

The participating teams and their mentoring company include:  Fouha Crafts mentored by Title Guaranty of Guam; The Amare Project mentored by GTA; Gatbun Tinifok mentored by Guam Daily Post; The Movement mentored by United Airlines; Spark mentored by Bank of Hawaii; Isla Meliorate mentored by Bank of Guam; Lending Hands mentored by Community First Federal Credit Union and Serein mentored through the GCC DECA Marketing program.
